Listen to the mechanism

The cuckoo choking in the hood

The nervous tic of cataclysm

The winder’s wages gone for good

The pendulum begins to swing

Bells crank up a final ding

Glasses running out of sand

Sundials running out of shade

Body clocks without a gland

Astrologers gone retrograde

Atomic clocks run out of data

See you later oscillator

Never mind it’s all been fun

Listening to the beeps and pips

Now it’s curtains for the sun

Let’s enjoy apocalypse

Let’s enjoy this fresh abyss

Chronology’s a piece of piss
