Should We Stay Or Should We Go?

Darlin’ you got to let us know

Should we stay or should we go

If we go, we’ll light the mojo

Of IDS, Farage and BoJo

So you got to let us know

Should we stay or should we go?

It’s more than cheese cheese cheese

That makes it worth the entry fees

One day we know we should remain

The next we’ve thrown it down the drain

Well come on and let us know

Are we mad enough to go?

The Out Decision’s bugging me

Don’t want to set the far right free

If we go there will be trouble

Bursting Boris and his bubble

So come on don’t let him crow …

                                No Split

Should we stay or should we go now (Yo! ¿no govio permiso?)

Should we stay or should we go now (Yo! ¿crackerpos farago?)

If we go there will be trouble (Yo! ¿boris generalissimo?)

And Europe will be filled with rubble (Vittorio kipperos)

So you gotta let us know (Asylimos lunacies jefes)

Should we cool it or should we blow? (¿Por favor no brexit?)

Should we stay or should we go now? (It’s a nightmare, senor)

If we go there will be trouble (The triumph of Little Englanders)

And if we stay there will be double (Don’t make a mistake just because Osborne agrees)

What to do we can't conceive (Pero que tienes que decir)

Should we remain or should we leave (Do you want a right-wing Tory coup to take place? What’s wrong with European idealism anyway?)

Should We Stay Or Should We Go?

with apologies to The Clash

Polls for the first time suggested a majority in favour of Brexit. When ‘Should I Stay…’ was written, Joe Strummer hit on the wheeze of doing the choruses in Spanish, although in the original, the last verse interpolations are in Ecuadorean Spanish, as that’s what the engineer’s mum spoke.
