Blue Turns To Grey

Assuming Brown is gone
You won't feel old for long
For we'll be back in power
We're Tory rodents
Hip hooray

When Blue turns to Grey
We'll promise you pay
But you just won't feel good
As we turn to the right
And you know that you must
Mind out, mind out, mind out

You think we care at all
About your curtain call?
You won't be in this world
For long before
You've gone and passed away.

When Blue turns to Grey
It's a dead-letter day
You just won't feel good
As we turn to the right
And you know that you must
Mind out, mind out, mind out

Outside the conference hall
We'll send you to the wall –
All the policies you hope to see
Will be-e-e
A shadow-play

When Blue turns to Grey
We won't mean what we say
Even Cliff won't feel good
As we turn to the right
And you know that you must
Mind out, mind out, mind out

Blue Turns To Grey

Cliff Richard is celebrating 50 years (is that all? Ed.) in show business. On the first Monday of their party conference next week, the Conservatives will debate 'caring for an elderly population'.

with apologies, oddly enough, to Jagger & Richard, whose song Cliff took into the Top Ten in 1966.
