Gore-fest

If you want a future, want Earth to last,
If you want a concert, and the usual cast,
The ozone's waiting, there's a great big hole,
Big Al will fill it with some rock and roll -

Yo, tell me what's the point,
What's the really really point
So, tell me what's the point,
What's the really really point
I'll tell you what's the point,
What's the really really point
No, tell me what's the point,
What's the really really point
You wanna, you wanna, you wanna, you wanna
You wanna really really really wanna
bigger gig ah

If you wanna do another,
You gotta get money spent –
Madonna can do cloud cover,
Dear Oscar non-President.
If you wanna do another,
Then Coldplay's where it is -
They're easy listening music,
But that's global warming biz...

What do you think about that,
Is it such a big deal?
Are you sure that greenhouse gas has
A real sex appeal?
Just how well-meaning's
Inconvenient truth?
Or are you raising a banner
For middle-aged youth?

Yo, tell me what's the point,
What's the really really point
So, tell me what's the point,
What's the really really point
I'll tell you what's the point,
What's the really really point
No, tell me what's the point,
What's the really really point
You wanna, you wanna, you wanna, you wanna
You wanna really really really wanna
bigger gig ah

Gore-fest

“I hope they're a success. But why is Gore actually organising them? To make us aware of the greenhouse effect? Everybody's known about that problem for years. We are all fucking conscious of global warming” – Bob Geldof attacks Al Gore's 'Live Earth' concerts. It was also rumoured that The Spice Girls might reunite, for a tenth anniversary 'Concert For Diana'.

(Apologies to their Wannabe.)
