Money Bags

I am not a plastic bag.
You will not suffocate
if you stick me quickly on your head.
See: you look just great.

I am not a plastic bag.
I won't rip apart
if you fill me up with piles from miles
of aisles. I'm style; I'm art.

I am not a plastic bag.
Your shopping will look spry
when held inside my special clutch
and held against your denim crutch
and lusted after for a touch
by every passer-by.

I am not a plastic bag.
I have designs instead:
the planet will whip round in space
with grace, once you have read

I am not a plastic bag.
I'm cool, and do not knock it.
I can recycle, double-quick,
the pounds inside your pocket.

I am not a plastic bag.
I show that you have taste,
and that you are not well-disposed
to litter or to waste.

I am not a plastic bag.
I'm fairer than fair trade:
If you drop shopping into me
You're joining a crusade.

I am not a plastic bag.
I'm from a better area.
I have a cure for leprosy
for rickets and malaria,

for war, for famine, vicious law
which flies the Terror's flag.
Parade me. See who made me. I
am not a plastic bag.

Money Bags
Kate Moss's new line for Topshop caused queues and frenzy. In another fashion celebrity story, queues formed outside branches of Sainsbury's, hoping to buy a limited edition bag designed by Anya Hindmarch. The bag's logo reads 'I am not a plastic bag'.
